This depends on several factors. The duration of a move depends on weather, time of year, weight of cargo and places of origin and destination.
Of course! Coverage is called “Replacement Value Protection.” In this case, the cost of repair, replacement or cash settlement could cover up to the replacement value of the item in question and up to the maximum value declared (no sentimental value is guaranteed or included).
We recommend that you carry items that are irreplaceable and of high value with you, such as important documents, stamp collections, jewelry and other items. By high value items, we mean all items with an individual replacement value (or combined, in the case of a set of articles) of more than $10,000.
However, if you entrust us with the transportation of high value items, you must provide us with a list and respective values before loading, to clearly establish that they are part of the shipment and to extend our responsibility accordingly. High value items should be on a separate list. Make sure valuable items are entered only once in the inventory. Finally, keep records to prove their value in case of loss or damage.
It depends on the type of move you want. Most customers prefer to leave this work to our experienced packers: they are trained and have the equipment, methods and experience to carry out impeccable packing of your goods.
You should be aware that the transporter is not responsible for the content of cartons packed by the client, because there is no way of checking if the packing has been done properly. If you are interested in this service, call us, it will be our pleasure to send you a quote.
It is your responsibility to prepare these items before they are loaded into the truck or container. It is also important not to forget to completely empty your refrigerator and freezer of all food (if your household must be stored, it is important to clean them before they are stored). In addition, it is the customer’s responsibility to disconnect and reconnect all appliances. If you want us to take care of one or other of these additional services, it will be our pleasure to send you a quote.
Front loading washer and dryer:
Did you know that it is strongly recommended to block the drums before handling these appliances? If they are not blocked before transporting them, they can become unbalanced (our insurance does not cover this type of damage if they were not blocked beforehand).
You should know that if you plan to transport frozen food, whether the transporter is aware of it or not, we cannot be held responsible for its condition at destination.
Such restrictions are intended to protect the investment of the contents of the freezer, and to ensure your family’s health.
We can only transport your plants under certain conditions and they will be moved at your own risk, because changes in temperature, lack of water and light can damage them.
When moving day comes, the mover will first place a numbered label on each item and then take stock of goods by indicating their physical condition. We advise you to accompany the person during this task and to ask them to explain their comments. Once this work is completed, you will sign the inventory sheet to acknowledge your agreement with its contents.
When loading your possessions, the mover will have given you a copy of the inventory taken, which you will use in conjunction with the Inventory Control Form (which will be issued upon delivery). Check your possessions on the Inventory Control Form as they are being unloaded and indicate any new damage or loss, where appropriate, on the inventory sheet in the “state of delivery” column. Once the delivery is completed, place your comments on your copy of the inventory sheet and ask the driver to sign it.
If you have a claim, simply contact us at our offices. To complete the settlement, it is good to establish the list of losses and damages without forgetting anything, because we are not responsible for items claimed for after the initial claim. Date the document, sign it and send it to us.
Of course, our guarantee claim rules depend on factors like the availability of repair parts, the submission of the claim in proper and due form and the availability of items for inspection. It is in our best interest to settle your claim as quickly possible. We appreciate our customers’ patience and cooperation during this period.
No, it is not necessary to remove your clothing from the drawers. However, you must remove more fragile items such as jewelry, perfume, books etc.
No, this is not necessary. But you can contact us if you want to be sure that all our information is correct.
It is impossible to determine how far in advance you should book your move. However, some days are usually busier than others. If you are planning to move in June or in early July, we recommend booking one month or more in advance.
Also, note that the last days of each month are the most coveted, and Saturdays fill-up quickly because we do a maximum of 3 moves on this day.
If your move is local, the payment method is cash only. For long-distance moves, you can pay by cash or credit card.
For weekdays, the minimum is one (1) hour. On Saturdays, the minimum is three (3) hours.
Yes, there is no problem. If you specify it during the booking, we will bring the necessary tools.
